The MacBook Pro 2016-2017 lineup introduced Apple’s ultra-thin 2nd-generation butterfly keyboard — a design that became notorious for its sensitivity to dust and debris causing keys to stick or stop responding. This WISDOM ROCK replacement keyboard gives your A1706 or A1707 a complete fresh start with a brand-new butterfly assembly, covering all Touch Bar variants of the 13″ and 15″ MacBook Pro from Late 2016 and Mid 2017.

The 2nd-generation butterfly mechanism features an even thinner key structure than previous MacBook keyboards, with approximately 0.5mm of key travel designed for ultra-low-profile typing. While this mechanism requires careful handling to prevent debris accumulation, the keyboard delivers the distinctive precise, flat keystroke that defined this MacBook Pro generation.​​

This keyboard fits ONLY the Touch Bar variants of the 2016-2017 MacBook Pro:

  • A1706 (13″ with Touch Bar) — EMC 3071 and EMC 3163.​

It does NOT fit the MacBook Pro 13″ without Touch Bar (A1708, EMC 3164/3337).​

To confirm your model: flip your MacBook Pro upside down — the model number (A1706 or A1707) and EMC number are printed on the bottom case. If your model has no Touch Bar, you have an A1708 which is NOT compatible with this keyboard.
