The Nintendo Switch 2 uses a new magnetic attachment system incompatible with original Joy-Con rails. The Aolion Magnetic Adapter Charging Grip bridges that gap, allowing your original Nintendo Joy-Con, Aolion J20 series, and most third-party Joy-Con controllers to attach magnetically to the Switch 2 console and charge during gameplay.

What this adapter solves:

  • Original Joy-Con cannot physically attach to Switch 2 without an adapter
  • Original Joy-Con cannot charge via Switch 2 console directly without a compatible accessory
  • Players who own original Joy-Con or third-party controllers can now use them with Switch 2 in handheld mode
