• Rotate the keyboard toward the front to access the ZIF connectors.​
• Lift the ZIF locking bars and disconnect the keyboard data cable and (if applicable) the backlight ribbon cable.​
• Reverse all steps with the new keyboard.​

HP ProBook 450/455 G7 — Moderate-to-Difficult (Adhesive + Motherboard Removal):
The G7 revision removed the push-tool mechanism and switched to an adhesive-bonded keyboard. Confirmed by technicians in the field:​​

• Remove the bottom cover and all internal components including battery, SSD, fans, heatsink, and RAM.
• Remove the main board entirely to access the keyboard adhesive bond from the underside of the chassis.​​
