Full Motherboard Compatibility:
This shell is designed for the original SNS-001 chassis and accommodates the following main board revisions:

⚠️ Not compatible with: SNS-101 (SNES Jr. / Mini), PAL SNES, or Super Famicom SFC shell (SHVC-CPU-01 board is compatible, but this shell is US SNS-001 form factor only).

How to identify your main board revision:
Open your SNES console (6 screws on the bottom, requires 4.5mm gamebit screwdriver) and look at the main board. The revision code is printed directly on the PCB, typically near the center or edge. Match it to one of the 9 models above before ordering.

Region-Free Cartridge Slot Design:
Unlike the original SNS-001 shell, which accepts only North American cartridges, this replacement shell features a region-free slot opening, allowing physical compatibility with US, Japanese (SFC), European (PAL), and Flash Card formats without any additional adapters. This is a significant upgrade for collectors, retro enthusiasts, and modded consoles running Everdrive or similar flash carts.
